Palm Sunday 2021 Rev. Philip Stonhouse.jpg

Sermons are how we engage the Word of God (The Bible) and help us understand the ancient Biblical text in new ways. We believe God's Word continues to speak to us today through the power of the Holy Spirit, and speaks into our lives today.

At St. Matthew's we often like to do a sermon series, to help us dig deeper into God's Word. Our current series is on the Lord's Prayer which has 12 prayer exercises to accompany it.

Some other sermon series from the past are below (Note: each sermon begins around the 11-minute mark):

"What is the Church,"

"Scripture in Glass" (Weekday)

"The Greatest Story."

Our next sermon series is: What is God's Kingdom?

Otherwise, like many other churches around the world, we use the Revised Common Lectionary to help us work through reading almost the entire Bible on a three-year cycle. Find out more about the lectionary here.

To the right is a video player and a playlist of services. These can also be found on our YouTube Channel.
